Master Plan for your community

Master Plan for your community

Ever wonder what’s going on with development in Dover or your seacoast community?  Do you feel in the dark?  Not sure what the town has planned for that deserted vacant lot near the school?   Projects that could impact the value of your home and town can be discovered by visiting the towns master plan.  Every town reviews and publishes a master plan for the community they serve.  The master plan is a comprehensive review of projects or issues that effect the town.  Typically it provides a vision for the community. Master plans can vary town to town but usually provide a vision statement, land use recommendations, recreation recommendations, conservation/ open space and historical recommendations as well.  Dover has a comprehensive plan that can be seen on their web site.

In short, don’t hesitate to ask if your town does not have it published on the city web site.  The master plan is for you, the tax payer!  If you are thinking of purchasing a home in Dover or the seacoast reviewing the town’s master plan can be helpful.  Don’t hesitate to call or email if you have questions.

Cheers!
