The old saying “you never get a second chance to make a first impression.” In everything we do first impressions are very important. The same can be said for your home. Although there are exceptions to every rule, I’ve noticed over the years that homeowners who take pride in their lawn and general landscaping typically do inside as well. In many cases, a buyer will make up their mind very early on in the showing if their going to purchase a home. The first time a buyer drives up to your home they will make an assumption about the property. Good or bad, you want it to be a positive one. So if your thinking of selling your home or just want to make a good impression, go ahead and mow the grass weekly. Perhaps hire a lawn company to treat your lawn. Not a huge believer in this but if you have the extra money and want a pristine lawn they can helpful.
Next, weed whack around the mail box, deck, doors, trees, and other areas. Plant nice flowers, trim the bushes, lay bark mulch, etc.. Pull any weeds from the lawn, driveway, or curb side. I don’t like ” weed killer” because after you apply the spray the weed is still there, just dead. Also, seal coating the driveway yearly makes for a nice look and protects it as well.
Nice lawn, Nice house!
